The 23-year-old was the toast of fans after a magnificent debut for the side in their 3-1 win over Lugano in the Swiss top-flight last weekend.
The Ghana international, who joined the side from French Lique s side Sochaux, announced his presence in a flamboyant style, earning massive plaudits in the media.
The St Gallen fans celebrated the Ghanaian after he put up a solid performance in post for the side.
Ati-Zigi took advantage of the opportunity and performed magnificently earning praise from the club’s management.
“He is a young goalie who plays spectacularly well and has amazing reflexes,” St Gallen sporting director Alain Sutter said.
The Ghanaian was flawless against Lugano and does not upset him that he conceded on his debut.
“Errors don’t upset me,” he says. “The most important thing is to keep calm. And my hobby fits very well with that. In my free time, I love drawing – everything that comes into my mind, including lots of fun things.”
He is expected to keep his place in the team when they travel to the St. Jakob-Park to engage giants FC Basel on Sunday.
